Manifesto of Public Spaces Bratislava

The Manifesto is a conceptual value introduction to the manual of Principles and Standards. It is a value-driven document that addresses the general analysis of existing problems and defines its fundamental principles. It also includes the evaluation of related topics that influence the quality of public spaces. The main thematic areas include: mobility, environment and ecology, climate change adaptation measures, public health, inclusivity and safety, spatial identity, social environment, and management and maintenance. An outline of these areas in the Manifesto serves as the basis for further detailed development in the Principles and Standards. The topics are divided into five chapters in the document: City for Pedestrians, Green City, Caring City, Attractive City, and Clean City. Each chapter addresses specific thematic areas, which overlap, complement, and repeat across chapters. This creates a comprehensive view of the issues related to public spaces in the city.
