Revitalization of the SNP Square (forefield of Main Post Office)

In front of the Main Post Office on SNP Square, the sidewalk was repaved with granite paving, continuing the already renovated section leading towards Hurbanovo Square. This created a unified surface treatment and a more representative appearance for this heavily frequented public space.

The sidewalk was also equipped with new Bratislava street furniture – benches, waste bins, and bicycle stands – set into split basalt cubes. The use of a unified design contributes to the overall visual identity of the city while increasing comfort for both residents and visitors.

As part of the reconstruction, new greenery was planted, bringing more nature into the space and improving its microclimate. The planting areas were covered with stainless-steel grates, which protect the roots of the trees while allowing for their natural growth. These elements complement the overall renewal of SNP Square and reinforce its role as one of the most important urban spaces in Bratislava.
