Principles and Standards of Distribution Installation Cabinets

Distribution installation cabinets are elements of public space that, in the context of Bratislava, have long received minimal attention, despite the fact that as above-ground objects they physically form part of the composition of public areas. Although the primary function of RIS is to ensure access to utility networks, it is essential to establish clear rules for their placement in public space so that they do not become obstacles for pedestrians, traffic, or the growth of urban greenery, but instead fit into the overall context of their surroundings.

This document is part of the Public Space Manual, which defines the principles and standards for the creation and renewal of public spaces in the Capital City of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava.
