Regional and Urban Study Radnovce in Bloom
The topic of regional development is one of the often underestimated issues in Slovak conditions. The concentration of power and attention on larger cities leaves the problems of ordinary people living in rural areas in the background. The work attempts to describe and understand the development of the Slovak region through different periods of history up to the present. Emphasis is placed on capturing the cultural, economic, and social foundation of Lower Gemer.
The subsequent proposal seeks to comprehensively address the socio-economic, demographic, and spatial issues and potentials of the region. The proposal works with three basic components that shape the local character: natural environment, food availability, and innovations. The concept of the proposal for the spatial structure is based on the tripartite of social, technological, and architectural innovations, which are directly influenced by and, on the other hand, directly influence the previously mentioned components that shape the region’s character. Emphasis is placed on incremental development at all levels of the proposal, the therapeutic approach to design, and the creation of a socially inclusive environment.
