Revitalization of the streetscape Mýtna
By repaving the sidewalks with the unique Bratislava city paving, the identity of Mýtna Street has been significantly transformed. This is a street that features architecturally important buildings such as the Slovak Radio and the National Bank of Slovakia. The new paving not only improved the quality and aesthetic appearance of the sidewalks but also reinforced the representative character of the street in the vicinity of these key institutions.
As part of the comprehensive revitalization of the street profile, new modern lighting was installed, improving safety while also enhancing the evening atmosphere of the space. The street was further equipped with Bratislava street furniture – a unified design element of the city, including benches, waste bins, and bicycle stands. These elements improve comfort for pedestrians, cyclists, and visitors alike.
An important enrichment of the public space is the planting of seven plane trees, which provide shade, improve the microclimate, and contribute to the overall quality of the environment. The trees were placed in generous planting areas covered with tree grates, protecting their roots while allowing natural growth. In this way, Mýtna Street is being transformed into a more dignified, greener, and welcoming public space for both residents and visitors of the city.
